Scheduling Your Retreat
Follow these steps to Create, Chat, Laugh, Repeat!
Check the calendar for available dates.
Contact Evelyn (713-396-0884 or email: evelyn@smallsimplethings.com) with group size (8 minimum) and dates (3 day minimum) that your group would like. Pay a deposit to reserve your group’s spot. Deposits are $25 per person and will be reimbursed to the group leader within one week after check out, if there are no items damaged or lost and the premises is left in an orderly fashion. Deposits may be paid by group check or group Venmo.
Your final payment of $75 per person / per night will be due 30 days prior to your arrival or your deposit will be forfeited and your group will be removed from the calendar. Final payment may be in the form of a group check or group Venmo. A $35 charge will be applied for returned checks.
After deposit is paid, check the calendar to make sure your group’s dates are secured. If there is an error, contact Evelyn immediately.
Cancellation Policy: Full payment is due 30-days before your stay. If a person from your group (or your entire group) cancels within 30-days or failure to meet the paid minimum required number of guests will result in a deposit loss. However, the retreat payment may be applied to another retreat time. You will have 6 months to use the retreat payment or it will be forfeited.

Holiday Haven “Hall”
The Activities Center
Spacious Work Areas
Each guest will be given two work tables - a 4’ table and a 6’ table. This allows plenty of room to spread out and organize your supplies. Additionally, a fan is supplied for each guest and exceptional overhead lighting brightens the room.
Coffee Bar
A refriderator and Coffee Bar are great for snack time. Fill the fridge with your favorite beverage, relish/fruit plates, and dips. A Keurig machine is available (although you will need to supply your own pods). There is also a large table that seats six.
Rest Room
A country glam restroom with chandelier is located right off the activity area.
Cutting Tables
Two cutting tables are provided. One has a cutting area of 36” x 45”. The second is 24” x 36”. Additionally, a large 6” x 24” ruler is provided for use. You will need to supply your own rotary cutter.
Bungee Chairs
Super comfortable and adjustable Bungee chairs that allow for an increase in airflow which circulates around the seat and back area. This makes it more comfortable to sit for long periods of time.
Lounge Chair
An electronic lounge chair is available for your relaxation. Take a quick nap, relax while doing hand work, or just take a break and chat with a friend.
Electrical Outlets
Each table has 3 electrical outlets and one USB port. This allows a clean work area and no elecrical cords to trip over.
Covered Entrance
Newly added - Additional parking area and awning. On those rainy days, you will appreciate unloading your supplies under the covered area where they will be kept safe from getting wet.
Collapsible Wagons
Unload your car with ease. For your convenience, two portable collapsible wagons are available to assist in bringing your supplies into the retreat.
Wall Boards
There are a total of 8 wall boards. The boards have flannel grids which help keep blocks straight and evenly distributed. For those tall quilts, a step ladder is also provided.
Western Wall
Our famous Western Wall is known for being used as a memorable backdrop for a group photo.

Welcome to our 4500-square-foot abode, thoughtfully designed to be your cozy home away from home. The heart of the retreat is our spacious Holiday Haven Home, where you can share your cooking skills, connect, and discover hours of laughter.
The full-service kitchen, dining area, and inviting living room with a wood-burning fireplace are all designed to make your stay feel warm and relaxing. This will be one of the best kitchens you will get — we aim to comfort!

We’re located in the heart of Woodville, Texas, offering a peaceful and scenic escape for your group retreat.
From the town center Woodville,TX., turn south on 287 for about 4 miles. Turn left on to 8264 PR, where you’ll find our “secret place” nestled just a short drive down the road. Look for our welcoming sign!
